What to Expect

When you make your first phone call to my office, you will talk directly to me. *During this phone call, we will discuss why you are seeking treatment and if I am the therapist who is best able to help you. If you decide that you would like to meet with me, we can schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience. I have a flexible schedule, and I see clients from early in the morning to after school/work.

At your first session, we will complete some required paperwork, and then you will have the opportunity to describe what brought you to my office and what you would like to accomplish during therapy. The paperwork and this discussion generally take about one hour. I like to finish this initial sessions with an additional 15 minutes to address an immediate concern of yours so that you can leave my office feeling like you have accomplished something. When you return for your next session, we will be ready to “get to work.”

*If you get my voice mail, please leave a message. I am probably with a client, giving him or her my full attention. I will return your call just as soon as I am able, usually within 2-3 hours.
